Last drinks...
Righto, I'm new to this, so how about this. I'll propose a highly unlikely scenario and you can all choose the ending.
So, Its 12.30pm and Jeromes ready to leave. Its been a solid evening but you're no where near ready to pull the pin and scurry home to the missus. He throws you the keys to the bar and says "Help yourself...it's all free". You get excited, maybe giggle a little but then he says "only catch is, you can only let 6 people stay with you and they have to have played at least one full season for the mighty Lions"
Who do you chose?
I'd probably fizz on with Gommo, Brades, Doze, Fize and the Tottons, but its a tough one.

Re: Last drinks...
Good work Nob. We needed a new topic.
I would go for a mix of characters:
Ricey - He would laugh at my jokes, funny or not.
Chris Totton - He would bag every player that isnt in the room.
Jack - Good for old cricket stories.
Fize - Could tell me the stories I've heard a million times before. They get better every year, with some subtle additions to the truth.
Crow - Still one of the funniest men down there.
Nob - The old Nob who used to have a crack, not the new marathon running health freak!!

Re: Last drinks...
Yeah my choices were for similar reasons:
Gom- cos you never get tired of seeing nuts
Brades- cos he's beautiful and is a wonderful host of the EBCC Honesty Sessions
Doze- cos he's rare
Chrince- cos I never get sick of hearing what he really thinks about other blokes
Adam- cos he the loosest when on song
Fize- for the stories that get bigger and better with every telling
And i left out the Timberlake sisters hoping to get a response out of Big Jim...but that didn't work- the sly 'health freak' dig wasn't really what i was after.

Fize - i can hear about his miss spent youth
Ricey - very funny laugh
Mendozer - He is one funny man
Big Jim - as funny as john is jim still has the runs on the board as one of the funniest men at east belmont, but watch your step Jim John is snapping at your heals
Jack - for the old stories
Very unlucky to miss a spot
John Timberlake, Nobby, Chris Totton

Re: Last drinks...
this is going to be tough with a few people litterally banging on the door (but dont worry baarsy will sort them out)
big jim - so many stories that have been told with much distinction over many years
buzz - articulation and vocab are the keys to buzz's mantra
jon jon - if just to see him do frank drebbin impersonation at the baseball game
adrock - when on song he takes some stopping
little chrisy - more honest....
brades - a huge presence in story telling with a controlled tone that enthralls the listener
unluckys - nob, gommy, fize, jack, hawk, dozer and krucky

Re: Last drinks...
Sorry, I cant allow that list Steven, if you and Washo were allowed to drink free grog together the club would have to fold by around 2.45am.
Maybe next year when the expenses for the top oval are out of the way.
My list in no particular order:
Leigh Hooley- Priceless when on song and it been a while since i've shared a beer with him,
Dunny- So he could tell the story about him and Crow driving home from the Grovey.
Crowey- So he could tell the story about him and Dunny driving home from the Grovey.
Jack- Mainly because he would thrive in this company.
Gomy and Jon for some background music,
Apologies to all current players and drinking partners, i've taken the chance to step back in time a little with my selections, apologies also to Snake, John Ash, Jedi, Blissy,(sure to get fiery if those 4 rocked up) Rossco, Brad Collet, Flags and so on.
