Under 13 East Belmont vs Anglesea 30/11/07

Round 7 saw us playing at Oberon High School, (without Gavin or Keegan), against formidable opponents in Anglesea. Dylan won the toss and elected to bowl. Wickets fell at steady rate with Jayden and Toppa each getting two with Alex, Sam and George getting one each. Hayden kept beautifully for the 28 overs with clean glove work collecting 1 catch and recieving great throws from the fielders to also be involved with 3 run outs. Two of the throws came from Alex (who also took a catch), the other from Cody- well done boys. Anglesea were all out for 66.

Our run chase started solidly with Dylan (7no) and Starky (6no) opening the innings, Toppa (7no) and "H"(7) followed keeping the scoreboard ticking over. Alex (10no) was quickly into stride hitting 2 fours. Cody and Jayden followed, both were dismissed cheaply. George (4no) and Sam (12no) batted well and with some sound advice from Drew, Nigel remained 2no. At the end of our allotted overs, we were 3 for 86. A well deserved win for our boys.
As can be seen from the report, EVERY player contributed in some way, which is great to see
